Late June in San Francisco. The days feel full and reflective.
I’ve been balancing writing with developing a small app on my own. Even though I work alone, AI has helped me tremendously along the way, making the entire process much faster than I ever expected.
This firsthand experience has made me think about AI replacing human jobs, a topic that has been heavily discussed in recent years. Many have also pointed out that humans still understand other people better than AI does. For me, I wonder how long this advantage will truly last. Will AI one day understand us better than we understand ourselves?
It also made me think about something else. Today’s AI learns from enormous amounts of human data and behavior. But what if the emergence of AI is actually a catalyst for human evolution? Could it push us to think and behave in new ways that are less predictable, forcing us to grow beyond our current patterns?
These thoughts remind me of the simulation and consciousness questions we explored in May.
I don’t have a long essay this month, but I want to stay in touch and share these thoughts while they are fresh.
